Road damage – Rains caused damage in San José in Barabón and in San Juan in Baños early yesterday morning.  The first was a landslide that blocked a culvert so that flooded 6 houses were flooded.  In San Juan, another slide blocked the road the connects with Barabón.

Road closure – The vía Gualaceo-Plan de Milagro will be completely closed to vehicular traffic from el próximo martes, 18/4 to 2/5 for a widening project at the stretch known as Ingamullo 2, km. 10+700.  The suggested alternate is Paute-Guarumales-Méndez.

State of emergency – Pres. Correa extended the state of emergency in Manabí and Esmeraldas to include the rain caused flooding, landslides and overflowing rivers.

Holiday Ferias – The fair open through Saturday is “Hola Gente” at PRAC. Fairs open until domingo include one in San Blas, the plazoleta of Santo Domingo, in the Seminario San Luis, Calle del Artista on the Sucre side of the New Cathedral, and the plaza at La Merced.

Bus line change – Line 100 change last Wed.  The new route is Vega Muñoz to Coronel Tálbot to Bolívar.   Through the Sagrados Corazones redondel to 12 de Abril to Edwin Sacoto to Remigio Crespo, to the Feria Libre redondel to Las Americas and then to Baños.

Intercultural page – The article is about The Festival de Medicina Holística which had a presentation on reiki, and intercultural conceptions of healing including the Andean.
