When a 28-year-old Argentina man suffered a head injury Monday, his best friend made sure he was well cared for until EMS personnel arrived.

Tony takes care of Freddy.

Freddy Gonzalez was pruning a tree in his front yard in Bahía Blanca, 400 miles south of Buenos Aires, when he fell from a 12-foot ladder. According to neighbors, Gonzalez’s dog Tony was immediately at his master’s side, providing a comforting “hug”.

Tony remained draped over Gonzalez’s chest while paramedics administered first aid and was allowed to accompany him in the ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Gonzalez’s injuries turned out to be minor and he and Tony left the hospital several hours later.
