Do you have friends or family here? Has someone made your day, or been there for you? Do you know someone who needs to hear a kind word? Show them you care with a handcrafted greeting card! It’s true that it’s not easy to send cards here, but I have found that folks here still enjoy receiving them! So, give someone a card and a hug, or drop a card with their doorman, or slip one under their gate, or door. As well, many of my cards have been muled to other countries, much to the surprise of their loved ones there. I handcraft all my greeting cards with quality materials that moved here with me. My cards have dimensional features and embellishments, making them unique. While I will eventually make Spanish language cards as well, my current line is in English…something a bit hard to find here, at reasonable rates! I have birthday, friendship, wedding, anniversary, sympathy, thank you, get well, humorous cards, gift tags and more. A few are pictured below. For my online gallery, search FaceBook for Lori Zee, or GringoGreetings. Supplies are limited…but I can make custom orders, for all ages and a large variety of occasions. I am also introducing my handcrafted granola on Saturday! See you there!

One important update is that we will shorten our hours for our Saturday morning market to 10-10:30 am, or by appointment. Our location remains the same on Federico Malo just past Parque de la Madre. Look for our white van parked on the left.
Peppers and tomatoes are maturing, so we are gathering seeds. We have a great paste Tomato, an heirloom named Opalka…come and see a sample, and we will have both seeds and seedlings available. Next to ripen will be our featured cherry tomato, Sun Gold, a hybrid that is everyone’s favorite. We have sweet pepper seeds available as well, and we still have plenty of bean seeds and our lettuce mixes.
Another plant that we are excited about is the uvilla. A small yellow fruit enclosed in a brown paper shell (sometimes called “husk cherry”), we have germinated seeds and have some established seedlings to sell…a great plant for container growing on your patio or terrace.
The big news this week is okra, as we have our first harvest ready to sell!
